EXAMPLE OF THE CAMEL in CALIFORNIA....."Well, eight days ago, (2/1/020 one week and one day ago, the National Education Association announced its policy, that they're disseminating to school districts all over the country, that every child in every school and every classroom in the nation should be taught homosexual what I would call propaganda. A child is in school for public schools for 13 years and we're going to start in kindergarten. You think that wouldn't happen and can't happen. California's legislature has already mandated that, and, as of September when the kids came back to school, this is what happened. Every classroom of every school of every year is being taught homosexual propaganda.
So they're teaching them that bisexuality is normal and that homosexuality and heterosexuality are morally equivalent. And they're teaching them many, many other concepts. They're bringing gays and lesbians into the school to teach them what a normal thing this is and answer their questions." From a recent speech by Dr. Dobson
i have worked in public schools. and frankly, to hear people talk about the nea and the cta is always facinating.
it is obvious that you dont speak to many teachers. of what you speak you know not. again, what has california mandated? please be specific as to the title of this mandate.
this homosexual propaganda for which you speak is really interesting. it has no basis in fact, as i stated before and you which you ignore, the cta, and the nea do not determine policy. policy is determined by the state and by decisions of local school boards. look at what you posted, it states the "California's legislature has already mandated that..." it is the job of teachers to enforce that which the state, local school boards directs.
so why is it that you blame the teachers?
the degredation of education as you call it is not the fault of homosexuals and the agenda of the nea. those days that you long for or remember obviously dont include the same disparities in spending for education and military defense spending do they? besides if you are going to talk about cultural decline, you should stop blaming teachers. in fact i would look to the whole of the society. this includes politicians and heads of business. the society that you are so worried about is being corrupted by capitalism and the desire of greed...to have more to want more.
and lastly, you do have something against homosexuals or you wouldnt have the need to post statements like "So they're teaching them that bisexuality is normal and that homosexuality and heterosexuality are morally equivalent."
after making such a bold proclamaiton he then goes on to say (now remember the "no clinical evidence" comment) "It does reduce the risk of AIDS by about 85 percent. That it does do. The others it doesn't.
amazing how condoms are so ineffective at preventing all std's except aids. who would have thunk it?
look, if you blame the nea then you blame the teachers as they are a part of the organization. in the end it is the school boards that implement the rules...teachers have to adhere to the rules imposed upon them.
as for spending on education, we should spend more on education and less on the war machine...the disparity between the spending on education and the military is an ever widening chasm.
frankly, if education was as important to the national good, then the idea of increased spending should not be laughed at but encouraged.
so what is your position? is it? "I DO NOT BLAME THE TEACHERS - I blame the NEA and Federal Government......AND the local communities who implement THEIR policies and rules."
or
"TEACHERS are basically REQUIRED to belong to the NEA..."
what i love most about the later statement is that those that you say are "blacklisted" want all the benefits conferred upon them by the union contract, but desire to give back nothing in return.
