One error in this senario:

Hillary would never be second-fiddle (again). Being First Lady was her last "second-fiddle" position. She would not be a VP candidate on any ticket. She'd expect top billing only. If she decides to stay in the Senate, she'll be after Shumer--get him out so he can be "senior Senator."

Remember when Abraham Lincoln was looking for a running mate for his second term? He approached General Benjamin Butler, who "jokingly" turned him down, saying he would run as VP only if Lincoln would promise to die in midterm, so Butler would be president. What Butler thought in April of 1865, when Andrew Johnson was sworn in, can only be imagined. Butler may have been tacky, but he was joking. Now, if Hilary! thinks the same way, but seriously.....

(That would have been quite an interesting sight on the circuit : Lincoln, (6'4") next to Butler (5'3").)
