This deserves so many more bumps than it has gotten. What an excellent perspective. There can be no better insight than one like this.

Just yesterday my husband was saying, "Don't people get it? Don't they know that Israeli's aren't suicide bombing innocent people?" So this letter is extremely timely in this house. We feel for the Israeli people. Of course we too hate to see innocent people killed, but it is so important to realize the mindset of the Palestinians at this point and time in history. Sure, not all, but the majority think as this young man has described. They do not live in the fear of terrorism as the Israeli's are.

We were watching a special not long ago. A couple weeks ago, if that. They showed children from that region. The first film was like 7 years ago. Then recently (but before this recent blood shed).

The prejudice is horrendous now. Can you guess which kids did NOT want to even see the kids they met long ago?? Which ones were the most prejudice??

I will bump this thread, because it NEEDS to be bumped.

How strange that Americans want support when it is on their turf. They lament "Please, understand and be behind us".

But when others endure terrorism like the Israeli's are,..we do not want to afford them the same support. With friends like that.. who needs enemies?

I wonder if this young doctor would mind us starting an e-mail campaign with this letter? Could you let me know? What with their names still there.. I wonder if they mind.

We could redact the name.

My heart breaks for Danny and his countrymen. Is there anyway to email Danny some encouraging words from us Freepers? If not, please let Danny and his family know that there are a whole bunch of Americans praying for them and that we don't believe all the crap the liberal establishment spews! One way or the other, because of God's promise to the Jewish nation, Israel will encounter peace again! God Bless Israel and God Bless the USA!

Thanks for posting this, your cousin-in-law writes a compelling letter. I hope you don't mind if I take the liberty of e-mailing this to everyone in my address book. So many people here on Free Republic know the facts in Danny's historical synopsis for what they are, but it's amazing how many people have no historical perspective on this conflict at all. This letter will be very helpful in opening some eyes and he's a much more civilized writer than I sometimes can be. I tend to be a little excitable.

Thanks again for posting this, I'll pray for the safety of Danny and his friends and family, I'll also pray for Israel's victory.
