An FAA memo shown to CNN concludes that stress was concentrated at the same points on the Airbus A300 tail fins of American Airlines Flight 587, above, and Flight 903, which experienced tail damage over Florida in 1997.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- In the ongoing investigation into the November crash of American Airlines Flight 587 in Queens, New York, pilots are sounding warnings that the damage to the tail section of another A300 tested for comparison may have been worse than reported.

Of course it's a conspiracy. Dadgummit, don't you realize THEY are lying to you. By the way, I'm just tossing this theory on the table. I don't have any evidence, and I don't really understand what's involved, but here goes...I think FLT 587 crashing was the result of corrosion caused by government created chemtrails in the atmosphere. What else could explain the tail falling off?

Lockheed L-1011 is still a great plane.

I still say that normal flight loads mixed with clear air turbulence did not cause the excessive force to rip the tail off. To delaminate to the extant that regular flight loads and sideslip due to clear air turbulence can cause the tail to rip off, that would mean that ALL aircraft of this type need to be grounded immediately, no questions asked, because it would mean every person's life is at stake. I still believe there had to be a bomb that caused the sudden, excessive side slip as the cause of the major force to rip the tail off.

If the only other explanation is just delmaination, then all these aircraft need to be grounded due to errors in the pouring of the composite material and the layup of the material to make the vertical stabilizer spars, and that means grounding all aircraft and removing the tails if necessary!

Since no one in the NTSB called for this, and neither did Airbus, I aint going for the official story.

Go ahead and break out the tin-foil. Sorry I don't buy the "official" story on this one. If it was caused by this, Airbusses would be falling from the sky daily. Of couse, they almost are anyway. I prefer Boeing as well.

It would appear that many A300 pilots agree that their airplanes ought to be grounded. It would also appear, that the evidence is starting to accumulate that delamination is the culprit. The FAA has ordered ultrasonic tests. I'm sure if it becomes apparent that the problem is wide-spread, they will eventually ground the fleet.

If the problem was wide-spread the fleet would have already grounded itself.

"Inadvertent stall"??? I thought that the Bus was stall-proof. Possibly a computer failure? Are you familiar with this?

The Concorde fleet was grounded pretty quickly after one went down, if I remember correctly. Perhaps Airbuses should have been grounded, too.

I agree, they were grounded quickly. But the impact was pretty low, and obviously the FAA had nothing to do with it.
