Our leaders are frankly a lot better informed than we are, and, as a rule, know better the appropriate strategy for dealing with each complicated issue that arises. I've no doubts that the President fully shares our sentiments about Arafat, CFR, and the like. We're not privvy to his counsels, however, and if we were, we all might very well make the same calls he's making.

I for one will withhold judgment until everything pans out. Nice to see I'm not alone.

Thanks for your views. I don't know why it is so hard for these people to realize that what Bush thinks personally and what Bush can say or act on are often two different things. A president has a powerful voice and that voice should not be rash.

Apparently they have no trust in these leaders and do not realize that they so easily can cause people to mistrust when they rashly use their words to cast aspersions and doubt because he did not jump as high and in the exact direction they felt he should.

We need to remember how he handled the other situations he has been faced with. He carefully researches and thinks out the ramifications before he acts. When he does act, it has been after much consideration and is done in a very effective manner. This is what I want in a president.
