I love this site.I am a christian and huge follower and researcher of Israel and the events going on there..I wanted to know why so many of you on this board are Pro Israel...Its a great thing to coem to this site and see so much support for Israel...

I am pretty ambivalent toward Israel, actually. I hope they get tougher with the Palistinians, and they have just as much right to aggressively defend themselves as we do, but it's not really any of the U.S.'s business and we shouldn't be sending them foreign aid. Plus, anyone who voluntarily lives in that area is a fool.

Because Israel is the sole democracy in the area. Because Israel -- although occasionally lapsing (USS Liberty, Aldridge Ames) -- is our friend and ally. Because Islam would never let Christians or Jews into the Holy Land.

Because they let civilians tote full-auto Uzi's.

Because their army kicks serious ass, even against our troops, in wargames. Because they have a really cool language. Because I want to visit there as a tourist someday.

Because they prevent the animalistic Palestinians from putting together a nation-state and causing (more) instability in the area.

No. 1, I am a Christian.
No. 2, After the holocaust, I frankly think the world owes the Jewish people A LOT (Get a clue Frenchies and Europeans).
No. 3, Israel is a democracy, its enemies are totalitarians.
No. 4, Israel shares a western outlook. The Muslim countries are backward and follow an oppressive, cruel, false religion.
No. 5, Israel is a plucky underdog.

I used to rant here about how we should cut-off all aid to Israel. And, I thought they were just as guilty sometimes as the "Palestinians" were. I was foolish and uninformed.

After 9/11 I see what Islam is. Evil. And I see that there are no "Palestinians", just Arabs and others trying to destroy Israel. Led by some godless idiot Egyptian named Mohammed Yasser Abdul-Ra'ouf Qudwa Al-Husseini aka Yasser Arafat

Because I want to give the 'Saturday People' everything they need to fight off Islamic encroachment. If we can, at the minimum, hold the line in Israel, or better yet, use Israel to help crush Musli extremists, it'll be easier to do so elsewhere.
