...Clinton...regrets the last-minute pardon...because it has tarnished his reputation... This is typical of his entire outlook. He is more concerned for his reputation/legacy than for the damage he has caused to the presidency and the country.

O yeah if he just hadn't done that one thing his record would have been sqeaky clean.
Where's a MiaT link when you need one.

Forget the Marc Rich pardon. PETA should go after Clinton big time, for putting another innocent canine's life in jeopardy.

Apparently from this wishy washy response, it depends on what you mean by the word "regret". He'll always use weasel words!

Rich must have cancelled a check on him.

Asked if he would do it again, "probably not, just for the politics," he said in an interview with Newsweek magazine. "It was terrible politics. It wasn't worth the damage to my reputation. But that doesn't mean the attacks were true." My, My, My. Me, Me, Me. I, I, I. Does Slick Willie Scalawag only know how to conjugate first person singular? Seems that is all he ever uses.

"I was very sensitive to prosecutorial abuse because I had seen it. ... Oh yikes! He did it BECAUSE he was a "victim" of prosecutorial abuse! He wasn't responsible for his actions ...

Bubba gets the worst of all possible worlds out of this, Either he sold the pardon and got caught, or he did the right thing. He now says it was the right thing, but he shouldn't have done it because it hurt him politiclly. Guess he should have done what he did when he was trying to decide whether to tell the truth -- take a poll first.

What is up with all the Clinton stories in the last few days? Word must have gone out that the American people are forgetting about him and how hard he worked for us all! Gosh, what a poor pathetic creep!!

Do you think that "Clintons" change of mind .... just might have something to do .... with the fact that after repeated try's "Denise Rich" turned him down for a little nite over at her place ????

Well, Clinton - you *&^&^$^% - that makes us even...
I regret you're still alive, and out of prison.
I'm still hanging on to life in this tired and battered old grunt's body....awaiting the day I can piss on your grave.

Clinton denied all wrongdoing in regard to the Rich pardon. "The fact that his ex-wife ... was for it and had contributed to my library had nothing to do with it," according to the Newsweek interview released Sunday.
Slick's in a perpetual state of (1) focusing on himself, (2) denying wrong doing, (3) searching for relevance and (4) failing to notice he's yesterday's garbage.

"This is typical of his entire outlook. He is more concerned for his reputation/legacy than for the damage he has caused to the presidency and the country." I just figured that because of all the publicity, Rich was unable to give him the rest of the money he promised.

...Clinton...says he regrets the last-minute pardon he gave to fugitive financier Marc Rich...
because it has tarnished his reputation.
I guess this means we're suppossed to "feel his pain", forgive him and then have a group hug.
Not bloody likely.

F Clinton and that pardoning dog she rode in on.
Speaking of pardons, shall we discuss the refusal to look into all things Clinton when he left office...
Okay, how about just that one little EO that gives Clinton the power to veto his private papers from going public?

"Asked if he would do it again, "probably not, just for the politics," he said in an interview with Newsweek magazine. "It was terrible politics. It wasn't worth the damage to my reputation. But that doesn't mean the attacks were true." If anyone ever tries to convince you that Clinton has principals or values all you have to do is show him this sentence.
If he had principals he would do it again if it was the right thing to do. Not Clinton though. Nope, he only does things for politics and how it will make him look. What a filthy clymer! He makes my skin crawl.
