How sad... she had a lot of class. She had to witness some pretty unseemly behavior among the new generation of royals... Maybe she can guide them back into behaving respectably again now from above.

A fine lady, and one of the last living symbols of British courage in WWII.

If you look at the Obituaries in the Times or the Telegraph, you see some British war hero's obit two or three times a week. Same thing in this country, only the obits are not concentrated in a few big papers where they're visible as a group. We'll soon have very few who remember the last war with racist nationalism and fascism.

She has had a long, extraordinary life. May she now rest in peace!

And may God bless her family, especially the Queen, who has had so much to deal with lately.

Someone once said that the death of a person is like a library destroyed. It certainly is true in her case. RIP

Our condolences to Elizabeth and her family. Tough year for her. She has lost both her sister and mother in the span of a couple of months.

The Queen Mother had to watch the disintegration of the Royal family at the hands of her one of her daughters and her silly grandchildren and their silly spouses. God rest her soul. She was what a Royal should be.

Long live Queen Elizabeth!

As the Church of England says in their new liturgy:

May she rest in peace, and rise in glory.

Amen.

Very sad. The Queen Mum was greatly revered by the British people. Especially the World War II generation.
