Yes, this "story" is a crock. But it was reported as FACT on my local radio news (I don't watch television news anymore) and in the local paper (a liberal birdcage-liner).

No matter what the truth turns out to be, there will be a lot of Americans who will be convinced that this really happened, and was "covered up" by the White Male Hierarchy! (Just as there are still ignorant folks who believe in Tawana Brawley, and Anita Hill, and a host of other lies)

It's possible her "lover" did this. My brother is gay and years ago, I used to go to gay bars with him. (should have seen the reactions to a REAL girl walking in!) What they did to each other is worse than anything a straight guy could do. There was a particular bar that had a lot of knifings and fights and they were always vicious. We never went there. The murders there never made the papers.
