I must say, had I been new to this site, I may not have hung around. It has taken quite a bit of effot to add things like breaking news to the sidebar, and find other things I wanted. If I had been unfamiliar with the site, how would I know what was available? I don't what to be a "I hate change" whiner, but this is difficult. The tiny white fonts on the dark background are hard to see. Maybe i'm just getting old, but I would guess that a large number of Freepers are NOT teenagers with sharp eyes!

Yikes! I never thought I'd be nose-to-screen with my computer!;o)
Actually, that's the only complaint I have. I'm not very computer literate, but I've been able to personalize my sidebar very easily.
However, I will admit that when I first saw FR today, it scared me. ;o)

Like you, I'm having the Devil's own time reading the little stuff.

230K, huh? That explains why it's so s-l-o-w loading- I have a dial-up & an old machine, which I have tweaked as much as I can, and it was none too fast before- now it crawls....

Could any of this be "adjusted out" via style sheets?
