According to the city's top health official, John Auerbach, the city was spending $30,000 per month during the discovery phase of the case. He could not give the total amount spent. Your tax dollars at work.

Not mine, I don't live in Boston. I would be happy to see them bankrupt themselves pursuing this frivolous suit. What they are really saying is that they can't win, so why spend any more chasing something that can't payoff.

Funny that money is all so important, but officials can't tell us how much money was spent.
Same thing in my town. They don't know how much is received from the state in sales tax revenues, or how much our town gets in taxes on food.
Sorry to get off topic.

Their financial accounting is a accurate as their count of "children" dying from gunshot. They don't really know. They do know that it is a losing lawsuit, even in Boston.

...the gun industry's decision to include free locking devices with each firearm. If you believe anything's free in life then you've been working in government waaaaaaaay too long.

Great, I'm paying 35% taxes so that the city of Boston can sue an industry I personally have nothing against, and then to back down from the suit!!!
Time to move to N.H

Another rat jumps ship, a ship of liberal fools on a cruel sea.
(surrounded by shark like lawyers who were eating them alive.)
Hmmmmm.30 a month, thats a g per day or 365 grand per year for how many years now? two, three?
A million dollars for nothing, but heck it's not like it was THEIR money.

That is the sign of a good lawyer. Not giving up because your wrong, but when you know you can't win
andyou can't make any money at it anymore.
Hat's off to the City of Boston's attorney. /sarcasm

Time to move to N.H/Try pointing your face towards either 3 O'clock or 9 O'clock. 12 and 6 won't do you enough good.

... minimum design and safety standards ...
So the gun absolutely will not fire at all?

"Under extreme pressure from our suit and others like it, the industry is starting to take small steps to address our concerns of safety and education," the mayor said. "We're not there yet, but it's a move in the right direction." A spinner is just a paid liar.

There has never been a incident where a gun jumped off a shelf and ran around killing people.
Hence, why not put the people in jail, and stop blaming guns for stupid people behavior?

any city in a stae that voted kennedys in for life ought to 'go down the drain' and the sooner the better---the patriots who fought the revolution and stayed the course in those terrible times are spinning in their graves whenever the name 'boston' is mentioned

Ern, if one lives in Boston and "sets his face to 3 O'clock" he/she won't get very far before they get extremely wet.
