President Bush signed the controversial Campaign Finance Reform bill today as Mitch McConnell immediately filed suit against it. Bush later headed to South Carolina where he spoke to Emergency First Responders in Greenville. He also stopped in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia Tech Institute of Technology where he watched drills demostrating response to terror attacks. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

That's the funny thing. Bush didn't even bother calling McCain to let him know he was signing it this morning so McCain could put together a photo-op.

You show up on a thread that is designed to celebrate our President and review his daily activities
Someone comes and posts a picture of the president completely adorned by the president's quotes about CFR, and you are now bashing me for commenting about the CFR?
Here's an idea. If you dont want responses about CFR, then dont post half a page of the President's quotes about CFR. There have been many, many, many picture threads that were just pictures, and Ive never posted about an issue not contained in those threads.<

Why would he have signed a bill that is flawed, Can you name a bill that hasn't been flawed in some way? The saving grace on this particular bill is that there is a Republican Senator and other groups willing to challenge the questionable constitutional items; and keep those that benefit real campaign finance reform.
Say what you will but Bush is still working with his base in Congress that is able to assist him. Thank God for Sen McConnell for accepting his place in history.

Having green eyes myself, I was rooting for green. **sigh**Okay..okay sometimes they look green. However, I did meet him at a rally in 2000 and they sure looked blue to me.

Laura knows. She has seen them up close and personal......and often.
In fact, she just might be gazing into them at this very moment......it's bedtime at the ranch. ;o)

Recall that McAwful's PowerPoint presentation to soft money millionaire donors for the new HQ included mention of online polls and message boards that were dominated by the right and how the Democraps needed to take away that advantage. I'm sure McAwful has sent many here until the HQ gets up and running.

I couldn't agree with your assessment more. Sadly, it's Rush leading the charge. He softened his tone at the end of his program today though.
On a lighter note, I love these pictures of our President with the firefighters. It reminds me of his terrific speech down at Ground Zero.

We have more important things to discuss here, i.e., the subject of this thread: PHOTOS.
Maybe it would help you to go and actually read the first post. It has 5 paragraphs of the Presidents comments about the CFR, and one photo.
If someone post's all that text from the President, you can bet your britches that I'm gonna feel free to respond to that text if I like. Or maybe you're with Bush, and you'd rather just silence my free speech as well?

You know I don't normally waste my time responding to you "One Issue Wonder" but don't compare President Bush to the ex-impeached, lying, womanizing, no morals president. There is no comparsion. Now take your ball and jacks and go home.

They're just upset that there are no threads entitled "A Day in the Life of Candidate X who got .000001% of the Vote"
To: Howlin
Butthead? How about "fu#king idiot that doesn't know his a$s from a hole in the ground"?
Why is it so many on FR don't know the ins and outs of CFR and are jumping on the "trash Bush" bandwagon? Makes me wonder how smart they are.
It also makes me wonder what these people are doing on FR when they begin to agree with the people on DU.
To: Miss Marple
You've got Plan B figured out perfectly Miss Marple, and we are witnessing it first hand,
are we not?

Also please note that almost all of these people have been bashing the President right along on every issue. They are not supporters. Never were, never will be. They don't even have the manners to post their ranting elsewhere when they know this is a thread for his real supporters.

I believe individual freedom to participate in elections should be expanded, not diminished; and when individual freedoms are restricted, questions arise under the First Amendment.
I wish he'd have stopped with simply that.

Ditto, rintense. That is a great observation, Cyber.

Rintense always puts a quote from something important at the beginning of this thread, in an effort to let people know what is going on in the life of President Bush.
Have you written the White House? This statement will no doubt be in the Washington Post. Is your letter to the editor ready?
Just because she puts a quote there doesn't mean we are going to debate it.
You can tell Mr. McAuliffe that I see his talking points for what they are. Now go away.
To: Kath
I agree 100 percent Kath. People can debate issues and disagree, but comparing him to Clinton is way out of bounds.
To: RedBloodedAmerican
Well, Howlin made me laugh but you're probably closer to the mark! These one issue voters that probably voted for Buchanan in the first place are really making this a depressing place to be these days.
