President Bush signed the controversial Campaign Finance Reform bill today as Mitch McConnell immediately filed suit against it. Bush later headed to South Carolina where he spoke to Emergency First Responders in Greenville. He also stopped in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia Tech Institute of Technology where he watched drills demostrating response to terror attacks. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I enjoy this daily thread so much and have since you first started posting
it. I've never told you thanks before but I want you to know how delightful it usually is and I look
forward to it. I haven't been reading any other posts lately in order to keep my blood pressure under control.
I'm sorry to see all the Richard Craniums have crawled out from under their rocks lately to contaminate
this thread. I think you're very gracious to not lose your cool. Now I think I
will go in the back yard and scream at the top of my lungs to get the bad taste of all these disrupters out of my mouth,
have a glass of wine and go to bed. I'll be back tomorrow, though.

Oh, I resent that characterization. Everyone on this thread is perfectly capable of thinking for themselves. sheesh...just because we have a different opinion doesn't mean we can't think for ourselves. Your hubris is showing, man.
Listen, I was pissed at first that W didn't veto. After much thought and consideration, I came down on his side. He signs the stupid thing, voices his malcontent, sends it off to court. In so doing, he silences John McCain. The SCOTUS will rule favorably and shoot down practically the whole thing (if not all). McCain et al are effectively silenced and it stops the the movement in its tracks. Their real goal is public financing of campaigns. If this slows that movement, I'm all for it.

Thanks, I'm humbled

I choose option 2. That being that this forum is heavily populated with head-in-the-sand sheeple who are terrified at the prospect of thinking for themselves.
It's not right to call people names just because they won't see things your way. The difference of opinion here contradicts what you say. It would be much easier I think to go over to the other threads, and bash President Bush with everyone else. Other people have a right to their opinion too, even when you don't agree with it.

I read that McCain's advisors were livid that the bill was signed unceremoniously and without a big to-do with McCain's mug all over the place.
You gotta love that Dubya!

Isn't this a PHOTOS thread?
To: jurisdog
you'd rather just silence my free speech as well? Sure! No problem....!!!!!!
To: patriciaruth
Isn't this a PHOTOS thread?Yes, and that is one of my favorites! Thank you.

McCain's advisors were livid... REALLY? Oh, this is SO cool. I hope they were livid. I can't wait to see their reaction when the Supreme Court slaps johnny up one side and down the other. I may have to have a bottle of champagne for that one.
And W gets the doubling of hard money contributions and they are INDEXED!

To: deadhead
I'm sorry, but your insinuation that those of us who support the President don't care about free speech was absurd. Thus the DUHHH response.
Everyone on this thread cares about free speech and knows that the President does too.

BG, we're thinkin' that jurisdog is a little young to be up this late, and that maybe some milk and cookies would do the trick, and he'd toddle off to bed. Do you have any fresh chocolate chippers?

Another Lovely Laura photo.
To: Wphile
Just love to see McCain torpedoed and out of the limelight. It's always a good day when that happens.
To: Wphile
No book yet. I'll bet they sent it parcel post, be here in 2 1/2 more weeks.
To: Howlin
I use Linux, not that winders crapola.

By the way, maybe the fact that I'm an attorney Now that really makes me want to bow and scrape when you enter the thread.
Sorry but I have little respect for the legal profession, because of course respect must be earned.
Now back to those great picture of our wonderful President.
To: patriciaruth
I don't think Laura minds one single bit having a husband who looks at her like this, do you?! hehehe
