Former president Clinton to play sax at the Apollo with Michael Jackson, Tony Bennett Fri Mar 22, 1:57 PM ET
NEW YORK - Former President Bill Clinton will be blowing his saxophone at the Apollo Theatre next month, and Michael Jackson and Tony Bennett are expected to join him in a star-studded event to raise money for a voter registration drive, the Democratic National Committee (news - web sites) said Friday.
The April 24 fund-raiser at the legendary Harlem theater, just down the street from Clinton's New York office, will be co-hosted by actors Cicely Tyson and Chris Tucker, said DNC spokeswoman Maria Cardona.
Gospel singer BeBe Winans is expected to perform "Together We Stand" in memory of those killed in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The performance will raise funds for "Every Vote Counts," the Democratic party's national voter registration drive, and kick off a series of similar fund-raisers around the country, Cardona said. The Apollo event alone is expected to raise dlrs 2.5 million.

I searched for the word "saxophone" to see if it had already been posted. I guess I should have searched for "sax" as well.

On a completely different subject, it says on the bottom that Free Republic is in Fresno, California.
Jim, how can you stand it? The number one conservative website on the Internet is located in the number one socialist state in the union.
I'm suprised the demo-dominated state legislature has not banned Free Republic. Gay Davis would call it a "hate" website that needs to be banned.

Reminds me of that old joke, "Did you hear that Clinton started playing the saxophone again? That's because he lost his whoremonica."

I wonder if he can swallow it all?
I'd give him help if he needed it.
Maybe if we fed it in from the other end,
backwards...

His sax playing still sounds like a fart in a barrel, as we used to say on the bandstand.

Bill usually gets the blow business instead of giving a blow gig. I don't recall if it is his sax that get blown though.

It would appear that they're already spending that reparations money.
