"I'm pretty sure an American citizen cannot join a foreign army."
Wrong. Ever hear of dual citizenship, bud? How many Israelis are immigrants from ... Brooklyn? Whom do you think is manning the "settlements" that make peace impossible? The solution: make Israel the 51st state, or else cut them loose. (They get more "foreign aid" than many states in the Union).
As for "moral equivalence," the Palestinians and the Israelis, both being motivated by religious nutball-ism, are indeed morally equivalent. Both are wrong. Neither side should be supported. And certainly America has no vital interest in either establishing a Palestinian state, or protecting the Israeli state from its own excesses.
Yes, yes, I know: Israel is a "democracy" -- the Palestinians are not. The Israelis NEVER target innocent civlians -- ahem! -- but the Palestinian nutballs are blowing themselves up all over Israel. But Israel will not be a "democracy" for long: it must go the way of Sparta, not Athens, if it keeps on this suicidal course of expansionism and aggression. And we've all seen what the Occupation has done to both sides. The only solution is that there is no solution -- not one we can impose. The US must get out of the Middle East, totally and completely: quarantine the whole area, which is populated only by vipers and scorpions. Let them fight over religion all they want -- just don't drag us into it.

"...make Israel the 51st state..."
Now that's what I call a change of tune!

Your disgust at this event and sympathy for the victims is duly noted. The groups that claimed this have been deemed terrorists by Bush. Not the victims. There is no moral equivalency here, as sane people know. See recent Gallup poll re: Israel.

ahem! Say again......but first take that thing out of your mouth.

How many Israelis are immigrants from ... Brooklyn? An interesting line of thought, Justine. Hold that line and you may remember Brooklyn Jews getting knifed and stuff. Should be good for your wet dreams for a week, at least.
Why don't you follow your leader?

First, my named isn't bud. Second, I don't have dual citizenship. Third, WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANY OF YOUR CRAP!
