U.S. CONCERNED OVER SYRIAN SEARCH FOR NUKES

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has reiterated concern over what it terms Syria's search for nuclear weapons.

U.S. officials said the regime of President Bashar Assad continues to negotiate with former East Bloc states and North Korea for nuclear expertise and components. They said Assad wants to build a nuclear infrastructure in a strategy similar to its ally Iran.

"We remain concerned about Syria's intentions regarding nuclear weapons," CIA strategic and nuclear programs officer Robert Walpole said.

So far, Walpole told a Senate subcommittee hearing earlier this month, Syria has succeeded in weaponizing chemical agents on Scud-class missiles. Damascus has also advanced its biological weapons program.

It occurs to me in a way heretofore unconsidered that the idea of the Buchananite-America First-Isolationist world view is an impossiblity. Knowing what we now know about Islam and it's rising new power elite, the IslamISTS, we have come to a milestone in human events.

We cannot afford to allow any more Islamist nations to aquire nuclear weapons. In fact we need to take Pakistan's nukes away from them. Actually I have to admit that the world would be a safer place if Israel did not have them either. Though second on my list of nations I wish to prosper at nearly any cost, it would be better for Israel to be defeated by her enemies than for Israel to fire off a few hundred nukes in a last ditch defense.

That's a very hard thing for me to say. It is a new thought as well.

My fellow Americans we are on the brink of WWIII and it is going to be much bigger than WWII. I've been saying that since 9/11 but I see now even more clearly that it is true.

It is true because we must invade Arabia and Pakistan and take out all nuclear and biological weapons of mass distruction capabilities. If we do not do this we will allow the deaths of perhaps hundreds of millions of people. Western people as well. There is no alternative.

I hope they don't look over here. There's one right in front of them. Oh no, they found it. Now what?

This report is a bit hard to take seriously. Syria is a basket case. If Iran gets nukes, then Syria gets nukes. Let's stay focused on the bigger fish.

I agree. However the focal point of our war right now is a group bent on unification of all Islam and I'm sure they are doing all they can to insure this will be a nuclear armed Islam. We can't let that happen.

Think about that. It means we cannot afford a free world. We MUST exert unilateral hegemony over most of the Islamic nations. This will lead to a new Cold War with China. A standoff because we cannot invade and take away their nukes. I see no peace for decades to come.

Yes, this is the great dilema that stalks us. The enemy is nothing compared to those we faced in WWII, yet. But if we do not take the threat serriously he WILL gain the ability to wreak terrible havoc on our world thanks to weapons of mass distruction. Our fate is in our own hands.
