An Iranians rallying cry re: 9/11

Happy Nowruz to each + every one of my fellow Iranians:

I want to talk to the Iranian-Americans who come to this website.
Guys, we are celebrating the beginning of spring, and our traditional New Year. We're enjoying our Haft-Seen and our gaz and pashmak and enjoying our 2500+ year old tradition.
In the meantime, we have adopted a new homeland, the USA. Now, whatever we may think of USA's foreign policy (oh, sure, we disagree with some of the policy, and we question some of the others) but no person who is fair is going to dispute that USA has given us opporunies and freedoms. We have taken advantage of those opportunities, and our community has become one of the best educated and most accomplished minorities here in USA ... theres lots and lots of Iranian-American doctors, engineers, lawyers, scientists, professors, and busnessmen - which is confirmed in survey after survey.
But besides the opportunity, USA has also given us freedom. We have taken advantage of this freedom, and questioned our history, and our identity - as Iranians and Aryans, as well as Moslems. The liberty of this country has given some of us the courage to question Islam, and even go back to our ancestorial roots, away from Islam and towards Zorastiranism.
And lets be fair. Whatever we criticize of US foreign policy, here we have better opportunity than anywhere, anytime, to affect US foreign policy. This is all thanks to the US democratic system.
OK. But, six months ago, our adopted homeland was attacked by terrorists.
Let's show Americans that we Iranians appreciate everything USA has given us, and we want to pay back the USA.
Lets face it, the US society and government won't ask us for our help. We will never hear Bush or Powell say "Iranian-Americans, please help your adopted homeland today because it needs your help." But not self-respecting Iranians needs to be asked before he offers assistance. Did your grandma have to be asked before she gave you Sowhan Asali and noghl and fruits? No!!! An Iranian offers help, without ever being asked first. Thats just part of being Iranian.
So what can we do to help our adopted homeland?
Well, first, lets give blood. Most Iranians are blessed with O blood type, which means our blood is very desireable.
Also, we should volunteer any place we can.
Finally ... I know that we Iranins are a little snobby and we generally dont hang ou with Arabs (after all, we are the heirs to the worlds oldest continuing sovereign nation and civilizaion, while Arabs were not even an independent nation in the 19th century!!!) but ... still, if we do hang out with Arabs, and we identify possible suspicious activity, I suggest that we dont let the Arabs play with out sympathy and emotions. I suggest that we report any possibl suspicious activity to the authoritys. Guys, he life you save may be your own.
Some day, our children here in USA will make "Iranian-American" synonymous with "ambitious, competent driven, successful, and intelligent." But even today, we have done well for ourselves. Let's show Americans that they didn't make a mistake when they gave Iranians visas.
This is good for us, and its good for our hamvatans back home who want to come here for better opportunity.

I've known a few Iranians over my lifetime who could have written these. For the most part, they are decent people. Like any group, though, they have their malcontents.

Many do speak Arabic as well as Farsi, though. They would be very useful in helping us sort out the mosques which are legit, those which are Trojan Horses, and those which are merely horse's arses.

It took a lot of guts to write this. I don't think we realize that many in the "Muslim" community are, in a very real sense, putting their lives on the line by speaking out this way.

After many years in the Middle East I learned very quickly that in Saudi Arabia never to refer to the Arabian Gulf as the Persian Gulf and vice versa in Iran.

It really bothers me to hear our(?) government making noises about attacking Iran.

I lived in Houston for many years and came to know many Iranians living there. Of all the different peoples I have encountered in my life, they were the friendliest, funniest, most generous and so warm and caring.

And that is true, don't call them Arabs, as they are not Arabs, and don't like to be called such. But they are such lovely people and I hope Iran isn't really on the vast target list.

The brightest, most reliable, interesting, hardworking, and charming guy in my town is an Iranian stockbroker. He's been here since he was 14, when the Shah was booted out and his family sent him away to the safety of the USA. He's done very well and is a fine American citizen. If all of "our" Iranians are like him, we are very fortunate.

All the people in the world that are opressed: outcasted Indians in India, Indians in North-America, Indios in South-America, Latin-Americans in general, Aborigenes in Australia, they ALL are joining Islam in order to defend themselves against those arrogant white, evil-doing Mossad, CIA, FBI, NSA, "Skulls-and-Bones" MI5 hidden actions and conspiracies.

Spread this message everywhere to all the good-minded but so far defenseless people in the world: INDIANS, BLACKS, LATINOS: YOU ARE NOT ALONE ANYMORE. YOU ARE NOT DEFENSELESS ANYMORE. ISLAM IS HERE TO HELP YOU. JOIN ISLAM! JOINED TOGETHER IN ISLAM WE WILL FIGHT BACK THE OPPRESSING CIA-FBI-MOSSAD-POWER, WHICH IS KILLING, OPPRESSING AND LETTING STARVE TO DEATH THE OPPRESSED PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. ONLY ISLAM IS THE SWORD, WITH WHICH THE OPPRESSED PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO FIGHT BACK THE DARK POWER OF THE CIA AND OTHER SECRET ORGANIZATIONS WHICH ARE CONSTANTLY OPPRESSING DEFENSELESS, POOR AND WEAK COUNTRIES AND PEOPLE.

A NEW WORLD ORDER COMPLETELY RULED BY ISLAM WILL BE A FLOURISHING CIVILIZATION WITHOUT RACISM WITH HAPPINESS FOR EVERYONE, LIKE IN SPAIN UNDER MUSLIM RULE (711-1492).

Well so much for insightful reading from your posted web site link above...

Parthur,

Thanks for your post! Very interesting and timely... I just returned from a Nowruz barbecue dinner at my neighbor's house. Our daughters are school friends, and the mother and I both work in health care. The father is a prosperous banker and investor. They are Iranian and have lived here for 25 years.

We didn't know each other very well until just the past few weeks, but I am looking forward to many more pleasant evenings together. They are just wonderful, cultured, accomplished people who are living the American dream and love this country. Like you said, they have very little use for Arabs and can't stand the mullahs and radical terrorists who are hijacking Islam.

I hope everyone here realizes what an asset to our country the Persian community really is. It's like the dean of Princeton University said during the 30's, when Jewish scientists were fleeing from the Nazis: "Hitler shakes the tree and I collect the apples." We can thank the ayatollahs for giving us some golden apples.

The Iranian stockbroker you described sounds exactly like the Iranian chemical engineer I had the pleasure to work with some years ago!

He was so bright, hard-working, funny, very helpful and taught me so very much. I will never forget that guy.

Hmmmmm.A world free of predjudice and hate through Islam? What if I dont want to be a muslim? That would make me an infidel, wouldnt it? Doesnt the Koran sanction the killing of infidels? No,thanks. The thought of a world dominated by Islam makes my skin crawl.

To the extent the Westernized elite living in the US and elsewhere can help it should be to overthrow the nutcase ayatollahs who run the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC of Iran and restore the Pahlavi family to the Peacock throne in a constitutional monarchy.

I'm not so sure that restoring Pahlavis would work, but they should strive to kick out the "nutcase ayatollahs" and bringing some sort of democratic system to Iran.

What American dictators?

You've heard of elections haven't you?

But I guess you don't call people who take "supreme" power without elections dictators... The little people are to ignorant to know greatness eh?...
