The Pentagon and the Energy Department have directed the nation's nuclear weapons laboratories in Livermore and Los Alamos to compete for the chance to design a hydrogen bomb that could destroy targets underground.

To the dismay of arms-control proponents, the Bush administration is advocating such weapons -- which would slam into the earth at high speed and then explode underground -- as a means of attacking command bunkers or biological and chemical weapons facilities possibly buried in such places as Iraq, Iran or North Korea.

Remove entire mountain ranges. But what if there are endangered species living on the mountain?

``If I take my Honda into the shop and it comes out a Ferrari, that's not a modification, it's a new car,'' said Marylia Kelley of Livermore, who leads Tri-Valley Communities Against a Radioactive Environment.

What if it came out a Volvo? Would that be okay, Marylia?

Yes, aproval to deploy the Israeli Arrow ABM system has been granted. Both Israel and the USA have been working on electronic integration of the Arrow and the Patriot systems. The Arrow has three times the range and speed of the Patriot. The Pine Radar system on the Arrow spotted a Skud-D launch all the way on the backside of Syria. Good stuff. They may also deploy the THEL anti-missile laser system in its ground configuration for short range anti-air defense. If it can stop a missile, a jet is a flying barn!

free conservative e-books. You can get hundreds of classic books from Gutenburg.net for instance (Democracy in America, Ben Franklins autobiography, Federalist Papers)

but they're all public domain. Where can I get more modern books for free online??

Don't you think that making these things free (the ones published before '79 or so anyways) would be good for the cause??
