No article - Apple has announced the winners of their iPhoto contest. There are some outstanding entries, but I thought to for our military friends and fans, you might appreciate the entry made by the entry by Scott Varley, who submitted a variety of images taken with digital cameras on board the U.S.S. John C. Stennis and the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln aircraft carriers.

I just happened to be on the Apple web site. I just happened to see some really nice pictures which reminded me of why I am free. Its because brave people that those in the pictures are fighting for my liberty. I'm very grateful for that.

Its because of them, that the rest of us have the freedoms to do what we want, and buy what we want.

This is not the place for an Apple vs PC debate.It is a place to pay tribute to the men and women defending America - even if that tribute just happens to be on the Apple web site.

Very interesting shots. Good photos - except both of the winners in the "creative" category. Totally dull and BAD pictures do not = creative. But Varley's pics and the infrared nature album were great.

Atleast the grand prize in creative was "creative". I never would have thought that blurry moving pictures would be considered "creative"...
