Great in depth article, Tom Burnett's wife also says that before getting on the plane September her husband was having 'visions' of varoius sites in Washingtom including the White House.

Burnett, a devout Catholic took it as a sign from God that he would be called on to somehow serve his country in the nations capital.

In other words it would be an unenforcable law :-P That's what I was trying to get you to say, I am admitting to it. The only way they would have probable cause, was if they were watching what went on in your home. The neighbors ratting out each other wouldn't work, because a lot of people have roomates, and usually they are of the same sex, or they live with relatives, plus relying upon the neighbors is very naziesque/sovietesque. You couldn't have police sitting around watching for people of the same sex touching each other in familiar ways, otherwise the NFL, NBA, and MLB would have to be shut down.

That's why in the states in which there are sodomy laws, it usually only comes up when there are other charges being filed.

Creating anti-homosexual laws, it's like the liberals saying we should have more controls on firearms, when it's already illegal to commit a crime, to use firearms when commmitting a crime. They are useless and do not add to the safety of society.

You’re not the brightest bulb on the tree are you? Please show me where I said that.

Not true, try doing some research before you make such erroneous comments.

Boy, I can tell you’ve researched all the scenarios…NOT. See your own next sentence.

That's why in the states in which there are sodomy laws, it usually only comes up when there are other charges being filed.

And so do many other infractions, drugs, incest, pandering…you’re your own worst enemy.

Except for [Jefferson's] views on perversion.

As much as I revere Jefferson, I suspect he had no problem condemning those liaisons he didn't participate in, however, I see no mention of "adultery with an underage black slavegirl."

Why don't you doubt Mr. Burnett's heroism too.

Because Mr. Burnett wasn't exalted in an article about what he "might" have done.

As for my hatred and stupidity showing...

When political correctness permeates any "news" article don't expect it to go unchallenged, especially when it unworthily exalts someone for a "possibility" of actions based on giving legitimacy to his lifestyle.

Minor detail: it was fornication, not adultery. Jefferson's wife had died before his affair with the slave.

Well, true, the relationship (from what history tells us) was not consummated until after Jefferson's wife died. I could be wrong, but I believe his romantic interest in Sally Hemmings began when he was still married. But like I said, it's been a while since I've read on it, and without double checking I'm not sure.

Seems like texlok and tdadams are retarded Conservative Homosexuals.

Hehehe…I’m not sure about that either, I think Liberaltarians think they’re Conservative when in reality Conservatives are socially conservative and not just fiscally. As for the retarded part, I think it follows that a Liberaltarian who thinks he’s Conservative merits some kind of mental disorder, I’m just not sure if it’s genetic or not. Perhaps they just drank too much from the Kool-Aid of perversion and their “feelings” are getting in the way of objective right and wrong.

Seems like they believe that there is no true right and wrong. Everything is relative. I wonder if relative means when I do it, it is ok but when my relatives do it, it's not.

Aaaaamen. I'm amazed at how many people here have a problem with the idea that a gay guy might...might...have helped lay the smack down on the hijackers. Not to say that makes what he did in his private life right. It doesn't. But even if it did, that's a whole other thing.

I believe 93 was headed into Washington and a major government building (one of two...you can probably guess which two). The reason that didn't happen is because the passengers chose to do something to make sure it didn't happen. It doesn't seem to be that great of a leap of logic, much less faith, to infer that Mark Bingham was in on the fight. He was a big guy. More to the point, he was a rugby player. It's my impression that whatever their tastes in romantic companionship, rugby players are not noted either for shyness or squeamishness. Dude was probably one of the first ones to get in on it.

The passengers on 93 who went after the attackers are heroes. I'm grateful to them. I think we all should be. Not acknowledging Bingham as a hero for what he did on that plane because of what he liked to do off it is, to me, anyway, an act of ingratitude. And a stupid one at that. Again, it's two separate things. And in any case, Mark Bingham's final judgment is now in the hands of the only Person whose opinion really matters. For what it's worth, I'm praying for him.

What I object to is trying to make him out to be a hero homosexual. Let us not praise homosexual heros let us praise heros and condemn homosexuals.

No, Khepera, get it through your thick head. I know right from wrong. It's wrong to have the government force my will on others when it's none of my d@mn business.

I guess since this hero was a homosexual, that's what's got you in such a quandary.

If it had been a murder or a child molester who did something heroic I would condemn them as well. We can live without such heros because in fact they are not heros. No matter what they did they would still be criminals. Just like homosexuals are criminals. It is still against the law to sodomize others.
