Our government does not want American anger to be stirred beyond levels they think are "helpful."

They are afraid we will demand too strong a reaction or payback to our "friends" the arabs. Already the "softies" here, are whining "this picture is too strong" for us. Someone might be offended. What if a little kid sees??? and so on.

Why does our government shrink from its responsibility? Either they are unable to neutralize the threat, or unwilling. And neither answer as to why they won't or cannot eliminate this evil from the face of the earth, is too much for us as a nation to contemplate.

My grad school advisor is an Israeli (actually, he's an American citizen now). He tells me that the suicide bombers are usually infected with Hep C and the like so that their remains are hazardous not only to the victims of the bomb, but to the emergency response workers as well.

Let me see, you are actually trying to compare 9/11 to the Ramsey case. There is no comparison.

I do believe that adult Americans can choose to view pictures and stories of what is happening in the world, that may come to our shores again. We need to be aware of the true evil that exists from terrorists. We cannot sit back and pretend that it is not happening.

Onto a totally different subject like the Ramsey case. Child beauty pagents seem to be a regional issue; mainly pertaining to those in the southern regions of the U.S. Most young girls and young women in the Northeast would rather play sports, be involved in an orchestra, and go onto Ivy League Universities. Parents in this area of the U.S. seem to place more focus on their childen's education and cultural pursuits and not their looks. Go figure. I would suggest that you join an organization in your area of the country that would help eliminate the sexualization of children, instead of just complaining about it.
