A brief thought experiment

Consider for a moment (and this is the difficult part) that you are an al Qaeda suicide bomber. You have just managed to penetrate airport security with a bomb strapped to your body and are in the process of boarding a crowded airliner. You know that detonating your bomb will not be that easy but with luck and Allahs blessing you stand a good chance of succeeding in your mission. As you enter the plane the flight attendant informs you that due to a mix-up you will be upgraded to first class and you will even get to choose your seat. She dutifully points out your two choices; you may choose the seat between Noam Chomsky and Edward Said or you may choose to sit between Todd Beamer and Mark Bingham (two of the heroes of United flight 93). In order to maximize your chances of success where do you sit?

Whatever you do order the double scotch rocks and try to get an aisle seat.

Actually what you would say to the stew is,
Upgrade? Thank you No, I prefer to sit over a main fuel tank."

Isn't first class only two seats across?

Trick question. An airline would never up grade someone to first class. They would rather bump you from the flight and save that seat for a paying customer.

Then, shouldn't you try to bring down the plane yourself knowing that it would get both of them in one shot?
To: seamole
Nevermind! I forgot the question presumed you were the terrorist.
To: seamole
"You leave the plane. No amount of terrorism can do as much damage to the infidel as Chomsky or Said."
. . .you should get a prize!
. . .indeed, why waste the explosives? Find another plane.
