Arab leaders who meet in Beirut next week for the Arab Summit should support the Palestinian intifada or uprising against Israel and prevent any military action against Iraq, official Syrian radio said Monday.

Arab leaders should "support the Palestinian intifada and prevent any military action against Iraq," Radio-Damascus announced, according to AFP.

"These are the priorities of the upcoming Arab summit," it said in its daily commentary.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the government Tishrin newspaper blasted US threats of overthrowing the regime of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, calling on the Arab summit to adopt a "firm stance" on the issue.

"The Arab summit must adopt a firm public position against (US) threats and moves to overthrow certain regimes," Tishrin said.

"Under the pretext of the fight against terrorism, some are urging mobilization and moving to interfere in the internal affairs of (regimes) dubbed as making up an axis of evil," the paper said.

Syria opposes any possible US attack on Iraq, which stands accused by Washington of continuing to develop weapons of mass destruction and has been branded in an "axis of evil" along with Iran, an ally of Syria, and North Korea.

The beauty of the Muslim Mass Murderers is their consistency.
So nice of them to confirm our worst view of them.

Posturing and bluster...
Posturing and bluster, the only option that they actually have.

It is Isaiah 17.

Damascus should be added to the Axis of Terror.
