Very good point about John Ashcroft who it seems I have been defending on here for sometime and wondering why.

I guess I'm one of those on FR who you might describe as an "Ashcroft hater", although I don't hate him, I just think he is the wrong man for the job at this time in our nation's history.

I do appreciate this operation against the pedophiles, and salute Ashcroft for this. However, I would still prefer to have another AG.

I can understand your point! I didn't put you in the category that I have seen of the tirades against Ashcroft on here. I never considered your posts "hate" posts either! I just saw some anti-Ashcroft posts that went way over the line on here and wondered why.
