Bret Schundler is still around, hopefully he will keep his base and not lose it. He needs to work harder and keep his message simple and not go on tangents as he did while campaigning. I hope he gets his message across to the people of New Jersey. Good luck Bret and don't give in to the RINO's.
And remember, when you win the primary in 2005, don't forget your grass-roots base and take the summer off as you did in 2002.

But does the GOP still want Schundler? The NJ GOP never wanted Schundler. I hope they are happy with McGreevey.

Conservatives LOVE him. They blame his losing the election on the RINO party establishment, which NEVER wanted him to win. He'll help conservatives take over the GOP in New Jersey and and set up a rout of the RINOs in it. Which will leave him all ready to go next time he runs for Governor and next time with the grassroots 100% behind him, he will WIN. GUARANTEED.

Why wait until 2005? He should just throw his hat into the senate race. NJ doesn't have anyone even remotely close to a real republican with name recognition to run against Torricelli anyway.

Lots of politicians have lost badly in big races only to come back later and win and then be very significant. Abraham Lincoln is the best example in that he lost something like 5-6 elections with only 1 minor victory before he was finally elected president.
Also, without Schundler in the governor's slot in NJ in 2005, then you can bet lots of conservatives will desert the Republicans. So, if the RINOs make an effort to dump Schundler, then the conservatives will bolt the party. Screw the RINOs, it's better to lose with Schundler than vote for a RINO.

God bless Bret Schundler ... our future governor.
After four years of McSleazey, people will be BEGGING for Bret. He's already talking about raising the gasoline tax $0.05. In 2005, McSlimebag will have a tangible record to run against. Schundler will still be a fresh face.
Mayor Schundler, if you're reading this, please stay in touch. The NJ GOP needs to be seriously de-RINO-ized.

The summer of 2002 has not occured yet, so I assume you meant 2001. If that is the case, I still dont know what youre talking about.
I received email updates just about every day in the summer, listing the nine or ten appearances Schundler was making that day. Just because the media ignored him, dont think he wasnt working. Everybody in my family met him at least once last summer. He was out there everyday.

A page right out of Jeb's playbook: Shadow Governor.

Schundler, being the ONLY conservative here in the Peoples Republic of NJ, can do us a big favor be keeping the socialist McFlorio's feet to the fire on taxes.
McFlorio is sitting up there in that Trenton hellhole just PINING to raise taxes. During the campaign, Bret baited McFlorio into taking a no-new tax pledge. We'll see.
