DEBKAfile reports that from Baghdad the Iraqi leaderships conviction that the Americans will strike in the first days of April
-at latest- With a spearheaded operation inthe central sector of the front, i.e. the Jordanian-Iraqi border-in order to break through to Baghadad.
U.S. raids fromthe north and south-from Turkey and Kuwait-will be no more than diversionary actions, in the view of Saddam's advisors.

I don't believe there is any way an attack would come this early...lots of people/things to be put in place...and lots of stalling to be accomplished by saddam. My guess is this fall sometime.

Stand by, Iraq. As humiliating as the Persian Gulf War was, you haven't seen anything yet. If having your entire military raked in 100 days (by a US military that was constrained by a fragile coalition) was painful, just wait till Act II. Have fun, Iraqi scumdogs.
