Emotional attachment is a problem when you start to "fall in love".

I pondered the thought that Brenda is "in love" with a third party we don't know about yet.

This could explain her apparent coldness towards DW and her denial that she ever danced with him. To hear her discuss their meeting at Dads night of Feb. 1st is like someone describing the disspation of a smoke cloud - Westerfield sounded like a wallflower she had no interest in. To admit she was interested in him would endanger her secret relationship. Brenda is not happy with Damon, and is looking for another man - a man who excites her because he dominates her, (and who is probably rich). Is this man possibly an important figure in the underworld?

Sorry for more thinking outside of the box, but this case really troubles me.

Yes, the locked garage does not keep in the marijuana smoke, but can prevent the eyes of children from observing lines of coke being consumed, as well as other drug taking methods.

I'm beginning to think that drugs, not sex, is the major reason for the locked garage. Except in the summer, it can be too cold for sex outside, even in sunny southern california.

Illegal drugs means they are lawbreakers, and are having encounters with the underworld. Given Brenda's dominant personality, it would seem likely she would want to turn a pleasure into a profit.

Let's not forget that one of the questions asked during the Preliminary was "have you and Damon discussed divorice in the last 12 months"? Even though it was over-ruled I got the impression that they had discussed divorice. I don;t think swinging couples stay together anyway.

I think it's been established with the meeting of Barbara and Damon that sex is probably not confined to the garage. I expect there is a lock on the master bedroom door (there is on ours!). The sex story and even the admission of pot use is a useful givaway that provides a smoke screen.

It appears more clearly now that these people are druggies...note the restlessness of Damon after a puff of pot and three beers and pizza...indigestion or cocaine?

I wonder if Damon's upcoming trip to Italy had anything to do with making a connection with drug traffickers.

Would his expertise in cell phone technology provide him with a marketable skill in that underworld?

FRESNODA: at the end of the last pretrial hearing, did they say that Barbara Easton was not availale as a witness because she was in Europe???

Sounds like that evening Brenda wanted "swing" with another woman. Maybe she told Dave he could join the party...but not in the way Westerfield wanted to, if you get my drift. Westerfield may have turned the whole thing down. He wasn't there, and most people are assuming he wasn't invited, but was he?

I may be going out on a limb here, but it would be fair to hear what the accused and already convicted David Westerfield has to say about that evening. (sarcasm mode off).

From her testimony, it seemed that when she "met" him while selling GS cookies and then discovered his penchant for adult activities, she immediately called DVD (from W's house?) to express her surprise at the coincidence. "You'll never believe this, but DAVE likes to have adult parties, too." Why would she call him Dave to her husband, with him knowing exactly to whom she was referring, if that was the first time she had found out his name? Doesn't wash.

Nothing the van Dams have said is consistent. Down to the smallest detail about how far one large Dominoes pizza can go between 3 hungry children and two adults, followed by the adult "finishing off the pizza" party in the A.M. Kick that one around.

So ole Rick Roberts says there is more to come about the vile and disgusting van Dams? Can't imagine how much worse it can get...??

Maybe if Westerfield is involved in the poor childs demise, so were others?
