Andersen to fight a federal indictment and "... In recent days, Andersen has been jettisoned by Delta Air Lines, FedEx Corp., Freddie Mac, Household International, Merck & Co., SunTrust Banks and others. More are considering defecting as they file proxy statements and hold annual meetings. Among others, Waste Management, American Home Products Corp. and UAL Corp., parent of United Airlines, all said their relationship with Andersen is under review."

What will Arthur Andersen do for an encore?

There are a lot of stupid lawyers out there, but sometimes what appears to be stupidity is merely the carrying out of the client's strategy. That this information has been leaked is is a strong indication that Andersen is trying to gage public reaction to such a strategy or the attorneys are trying to demonstrate to Anderson just how stupid/desperate/arrogant the Andersen people are.

According to LOU Dobbs KPMG is currently "IN NEGOTIATIONS" to acquirer AA.... If I were a partner in KPMG the VERY FIRST THING I'd DO would talk to my friends over at DELOITTE and POLITELY inquire why they turn AA DOWN!!!!!then I'd let EVERYONE KNOW WHAT HE SAID!!!!!

I call their shredding of documents a gross abuse of the public trust.

If there was nothing to hide, you should have left the documents alone. But I guess there was much to hide. Sorry Author Anderson bite the dust. I don't trust anything you do, say or attest too.
