Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife Tipper, have been house hunting in Nashville expressing interest in a Belle Meade home appraised at 1.2 million, sources say.
Rusty Moore, who owns the 312 Lynwood Blvd. home says that the house isn't officially on the market but that he and his wife have authorized neighbor and realtor Shirley Zeitlin to show it to prospective buyers.
Zeitlin, who is said to have shown the house to the Gores recently, was on vacation in the Carribean island of Sr. Martin this week and couldn't be reached for comment.

Lamar Alexander was offered it a few years ago but refused to buy the house becuase it was too pretentious.

I hope the good people of TN. will have the good sense not to elect Tipper as their senator. I hope this will be the only White House they'll live in.

How are we going to follow all of these campaigns at the same time?
Liddy vs Erskine Bowles, Reno vs. Jebbie, Tipper vs. Lamar!, Robert Reich vs. Mitt Romney?

I don't know? We'll have to form an election club here on FR so we could all keep informed. All I know, it will be fun around here. Can you imagine all the funny "Caption" threads we will have?

where are they getting the dough for a shack like that? It's not from their rentals, HA! HA! HA!
I suspect from the advance to the book deal they have had for some time now. I think it's a book on Family? LOL,LOL, no kidding.
Maybe they'll have a chapter on how to raise a son who loves driving 100 miles an hour on a downtown street , HA! me bad.

Gov. Sundquist "endorsed" Alexander the other day. I don't think that's going to help Lamar any. Also, according to Tennesseean today Bob Clement (D) also lives in this neighborhood. I thought he was considering running for the seat, too.
