What perturbs me is that all this publicity may be the best way to ensure his death?..Saddam is very good at making evidence, and people, disappear..

My personal opinion is that this misinformation has been put out by our own government to drum up support for a new war agains Iraq.
And I'll bet that this guy has been dead since shortly after his plane crashed and that this story is bogus.

This is what I think for whatever it is worth: Bush and his people knew about the POW for a long time. I found the timing of the announcement interesting because they can now use it as an excuse to slap Iraq up the side of the head. (I personally feel they don't need an excuse to level Iraq.)
