This is a marketing decision. Black babies are more plentiful then white babys for adoption. Whites can afford abortions, blacks can't, therefore a larger gross market. More plentiful black babies drive their rate down. This is capitalism! Glut in the market, price goes down.

Overall Blacks in this country should fell better about themselves. $4 grand a baby! Hell in the Sudan you can buy a black kid for $4 bucks! Once again another reason why this is the greatest country to live in if your black!

The cool thing about Designer Humans is that all the "Unwanted" models of "potential children" that go unsold can be turned over for a profit as "Human Mulch" for research labs.

Even our President will buy "Excess" humans for research (and dangle government bucks in front of the "best and brightest" he'll draw to ensure his use of human embryos ends up a smashing success).

I am very happy for you but in the past few years’ things have been changing. Maybe not for you but for the rest of us. We were not "forbidden" to place a black child with a white family but we were "strongly encouraged" not to do so. The sad part was that many prospective parents just wanted a child and did not care if it was black, white, yellow or purple with green dots. Yes there are the “others” but they are not a majority. At least four of these couples ended up adopting in the Marshall Islands. A place not known for it's lily-white inhabitants.

The problem that I see is with the courts. If the birth mother or some other relative should contest the adoption by saying that she was pressured or that they just found out about the child and the child has been placed with parents of another race then it is that much easier to have the adoption set aside.

The argument is made that the parents are not raising the child in a culturally sensitive environment. It doesn’t happen all the time or even half the time but it does happen. In the one case where I was directly involved the child was Asian and the a-parents were a mixed race couple. If I repeated what the relatives of the adopted child said about that I would be banned.

I agree with you that there are some stupid courts nationally. And there are families who will adopt transracially who are sometimes prevented. We have been involved in the adoption community for a long time. If I had a nickle for every couple I met who would not consider transracial adoption or who decided to adopt overseas instead at twice to four times the cost, I would retire.
