Hildebeast must be sorely jealous at this point.
Well, yeah, and thats what I am saying. Obviously you did not understand my post.
That is food for thought.
But I haven't heard the county DA's comments about that allegation. I'd like to hear their response to that question myself. . .
As an aside, I recently watched archives of the news coverage of 9/11 as it was happening; I didn't see it as I was working in downtown DC that morning and was occupied with getting home safely. The quality of commentary ranged from superb to inane (one said that the fire in Tower 2 appeared to be going out, for example). It made me cry, too, seeing it all over again. We must never forget.
And I think if you go back to the initial news stories, FReepers were just as outraged when no races were mentioned.
I doubt any of us would have defended this woman if it had turned out she was white and the victim was black.
It was a 1997 Chevy Cavalier (see links in post #91).
My money is on the red cross.
The lawyer has already started in on that line. . .
But Ms. Mallard's attorney said that many details of the
case have been overblown and that his client is devastated
by the accident and seeking counseling. "She is not the
cold, harsh, inhumane person they would have you think,"
defense attorney Mike Heiskell said. "This girl is not a
monster."

Yes, and as I recall that was a middle age white guy. That would have made a great hood ornament for the beast.
That will be revealed after the investigation is a little further down the road. This story just broke as murder case Thursday morning. . .
She is 25. How old does a female criminal have to be before her defenders stop calling her a "girl"?
Hmmmm......how many of you could go into your garage, allegedly apologize for hitting a human being (bleeding and stuck in your windshield), and then return to the bedroom for sexual intercourse?
This "woman" ain't just 'inhuman', she's 'inanimal'.
Fry her.
And the "lawyer".
Good point. I'm not sure she would have, but I seriously doubt she would have been giggling about it at a party later on, or that all of her friends but one would have helped with the cover-up. If nothing else, they would have dropped him off somewhere and made a anomonous call for a ambulance for him.
Did you see the comment early regarding the concept of this being "premeditated?" What do you think about that??
However I don't believe that if the initial news stories did not mention race, that was not by accident.
I have noticed in the local papers here, and on TV news, that in the last couple of years whenever the description of the perpetrator of a crime is posted race is now no longer included in the description. When I got to looking into some of these it seemed to always come up that the perp was black.
