Today is the 232 anniversary of the Boston Massacre, in my opinion it was the beginning of the revolution.

Personally I am of the opinion that the 1765 Stamp Act is what set the American Revolution in motion. But the Boston Massacre certainly contributed its part and it was my namesake Samuel Adams, who stirred the pot for years after the British soldiers (in the Boston Massacre) were acquitted and kept the controversy alive. BTW, it was Samuel Adams cousin, John Adams, who represented the British soldiers and got them off the hook. So I guess you could say that John Adams was the "Johnny Cochran" of that time.

IMO, The revolution might not have happend without Samual Adams. He did a lot of the heavy lifting way before revolution was "kool".

Isn't John Adams the legal star of Amistad (the film named after the slave ship)--the attorney who defended slaves who mutinied and got them off?

That's quite a nasty thing to say about Mr. Adams! He defended those men because he thought that they were entitled to a decent defense, which he provided. It's not Adams' fault that the prosecution couldn't make its case. Jiohnny Cochran indeed! Humph.

Sam Adams did play a big roll in fanning the flames, but don’t forget he did have helper named “James Otis”.

What say I sir? The Seven Years War (the French and Indian War, that is) started the bloody mess. It ended in 1763, and the Brits were mad that they had to pay for our protection. Thus, the Stamp Acts.

Relax. I was just cracking wise. I'm a big admirer of John Adams and recently read his biography. Johnny Cochran couldn't hold John Adams' jockstrap or any other of the founding fathers.

I suppose you could say that it was the colonists who shot themselves, but it wouldn't be true.

John Adams represented the Redcoats becasue he wanted to assure a fair trial in the eyes of the Colonial and British media.

You got it.

In fact, I got a digital camera recently. I was thinking of stopping there on Patriot's Day to get some pictures to post here.

And tomorrow (March 6) marks the 166th anniversary of the massacre of 182 brave Texans at the Alamo. In the spirit of the Patriots of Boston, they stood firmly against an army of 5000 men under the tyrannical "Napoleon of the West", Santa Anna.

Remember the Alamo!
