The day after the tragedies of 9-11, I told my radio audience that I really wanted to believe the official government story of the epic tragedy we suffered as a country. I wanted to … but history and logic made it difficult.

My reluctance to accept what is being fed us is based on more than mere cynicism or curmudgeoness. It has become almost axiomatic that our government lies to us – even when they probably don't have to – but certainly when it serves the agenda of our would-be controllers.

The most recent series by WorldNetDaily Washington, D.C., Bureau Chief Paul Sperry is further evidence of the government propagandists who "If they can't dazzle you with brilliance will baffle you with bovine excrement."

According to an internal Federal Aviation Administration memo summarizing the Sept. 11 hijackings one of the passengers on doomed American Airlines Flight 11 was "shot to death by a single bullet."

The FAA is trying to claim the memo (which was time-stamped Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m.) was written in error. Yeah, right!

The FAA said, "It was a first draft …There was no gun." The final draft of the executive summary that was received by FAA honcho Jane Garvey does not mention a gun. So what? It probably doesn't mention a gun. However, notwithstanding creative writing, the deletion of any "gun" reference begs the question.

I have often noted in the past that most of the "official government" versions of significant events do not stand up to scrutiny. A short list of obvious mis/disinformation includes:

• The "surprise" attack on Pearl Harbor

• Alleged suicide of James Forestall

• Assassination of President John F. Kennedy

• Death of Vince Foster

• The BCCI scandal

• Waco and the Branch Davidians

• Ruby Ridge

• Oklahoma City bombing of Murrah building

• TWA Flight 800

• American Airlines Flight 93

Voluminous facts in evidence suggest that none of those 10 items were honestly and completely reported to the masses. In fact, several of those events have given birth to boutique industries. You could fill a library with conspiracy books. Do a Google.com search of any of the above and you will find:

• 152,000 links to OKC bombing

• 117,000 links to Ruby Ridge

• 85,000 links to Vince Foster

The first draft FAA memo that we are being told was an "error" stated, "The American Airlines FAA principal security inspector was notified by Suzanne Clark of American Airlines corporate headquarters, that an on-board flight attendant contacted American Airlines Operations Center and informed that a passenger located in seat 10B shot and killed a passenger in seat 9B at 9:20 a.m.

"The passenger killed was Daniel Lewin, shot by passenger Satam Al Suqami. One bullet was reported to have been fired."

The alleged erroneous first draft was generated late afternoon on Sept. 11 by the FAA Emergency Operations Center and "hand-delivered" to FAA Administrator Jane Garvey.

There is a heck of a lot of attention to detail in what is allegedly a "whoops." Does anyone really believe a professional in the FAA Emergency Operations Center could – or would – send a priority, hand-delivered message to FAA Administrator Jane Garvey and not be able to distinguish the difference between a gun and a box cutter? I don't think so!

The FAA and American Airlines both deny the "gun" story. They don't deny it was written and reported as a gun in the first draft, but they do deny the accuracy of that first draft (and they are miffed WND saw it).

Box cutters were not (on 9-11) illegal to carry on a plane. So technically there would have been no violation of rules and both the FAA and American would not have any culpability. However, a gun is a horse in another garage. Guns are very specifically prohibited and if a gun was aboard the plane, trial lawyers would be blitzkrieging to litigation Nirvana … and American Airlines would become an historic footnote.

Unchallenged is the fact Daniel Lewin was killed by a hijacker. Who was Lewin?

He wasn't your average dot-com executive. The 31-year-old Lewin, who had dual citizenship and had been an Israeli citizen since a teen, was a captain in the Israel Defense Force and had extensive anti-terrorism training.

Lewin was not a sheep, but a warrior. He was an officer in a secret unit of the Israeli army called "Sayeret Matkal." Friends think, "[H]e did something in some way to stand up against the hijackers, and was executed because of it."

Some wag once observed that "there is no sin except stupidity."

The story of the memo came out last week. If true, its disturbing, but thee a no gun on flight 93. Was there another flight where passengers used phones?

That's OK, the trial lawyers can fabricate one. As if it would be neccessary to use a gun to hijack a plane in a country where the accepted practice was to do nothing but sit quietly and cooperate when a hijacker says there is a bomb on board, and hope the negotiators at the next stop could talk the hijackers into releasing you.
