Trust me, the Israelis have lots of great snipers, (but even more targets).

But let's wait and see.Do NOT, repeat, do NOT hold your breath. It hurts after a while. You turn funny colors. The family gets worried, and it's all cuz you're waiting for something that CAN'T HAPPEN!!!!

More like an expansion of tactics.Yes, you put it much better.

This was work of a pro: he was able to shoot people in the head 300yd away. At least the first three killed were that far away - all shut in the head. It was an apparently very well calculated ambush. The soldiers were disoriented and did not know were it was coming from. And they were fed to him one by one for almost 40 min. The reporter from CNBC (forgot his name) said that it was an old WWII rifle. While reporting he could barely hide his smile of satisfaction. Couple hours later I saw him running with the a-rab scum hiding from the rubber bullets. I know rifles. I served in the army. 300yd in the head, even downslope, with the sun behind: you have got to be a darn GOOD sniper with a darn GOOD optics and a powerful rifle. Neither the Mauser, nor Enfield, nor Mosin can achieve a thing like this. That must have been a 7mm or something better. That moron from CNBC is a rotten pease of sh. and is not telling the truth.

I'm not holding my breath. I just want him out front and center.
I'm fairly certain he won't be answering though, since each answer would expose his anti-Israel stances, and/or dislike for Jews.

Jude Law? Do you mean the great Vasiliy Zaitsev, the Hero of the Soviet Union? I admire the man. The real story of the man was mush more exciting then that movie. With a 4x powered scope and a 7.62x56 Mosin he could pretty much nail a target in a neck from several hundred yards and hit a shape within a kilometer.

Well, yes, they are "terrorists," but terrorism isn't exactly new, and Israel's birth was aided by Jewish terrorist organizations. This isn't to excuse terrorism, but simply to say that Israel (or the U.S. for that matter) isn't facing anything unique.
And as far as "Nazis" go, well, "Nazism" was not defined as hatred of Jews. It was a political philosophy that was never a threat until it gained control of a government.
In contrast, the Palestinians have all the power of a man p***ing into the wind.
Israel has the right to defend herself against all enemies foreign or domestic, just as every nation does. But I hardly see them as the sterling City on the Hill, waging war against the Lords of Darkness.
If they win, they'll be "in the right." If they don't, history won't waste many tears.

This cat is a world-class marksman. Optics or not, a 300-yard shot in the head is not easy.

Please re-read. Post No. 25 (by me) says nothing of the kind. I was responding to YOUR Post No. 36. I realize it can get confusing at times.

Re #118
Israel already has well-trained snipers. But they are not extensively deployed. They are used to take out high priority terrorists. If they are deployed to take out any potential Pali terrorists or attackers premptively, many Palis will die fast. EU will cry foul. But under the circumstance, that is not such a bad idea. Israel should be waging an all-out war by now, but U.S. is holding Israel back. All-out sniping will do for now

This is the very definition of why pandering never works. Clinton's cronies set up Barak to win, then used him to get Israel to commit national suicide. Yassir would have none of it. He, along with the vast majority of his Muslim bretheren, want Israel to be pushed into the sea.
Exactly, but I have always wondered why he didn't take it.
I mean, Yassir's MO is well known to everyone by now. Cry peace, then attack..
I always wondered why he didn't take the land, play nice and then cause the peace to break down, just like always.. Except now he has the land.
Maybe he got a case of the bighead. Since he became the most frequent visitor to the Clinton White House, maybe he thought he could wait for more and he would eventually get it.
I just can't believe he didn't take the land today and then return to tricks as usual tomorrow. It's how he works, you can set your watch by his flip flopping.
But this one time, he didn't do it.

I know. "Ban don't wear off!"

Exactly, but I have always wondered why he didn't take it.
Keep it here in the U.S. to find your answer. Once you achieve your main goal, the power and prestige of desiring the goal vanishes. Think of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and all of their ilk. They don't want anything solved because if things were solved, they wouldn't have any more power.
Same thing goes for Arafat. He'd rather have the issue than the culmination of the goal.

For myself, I've never cared a single minute about "revenge."
Well you're a better man than I. The second those planes hit the WTC, I wanted revenge, and I wanted massive death on the other side regardless of the consequences. It took me a few days to start thinking rationally again.
