PETA linked to terrorist organization

While PETA and the other groups condemn scientific research involving animals (90 percent of which are rodents, according to Americans for Medical Progress, a pro-research foundation), they spend a pittance on animal shelters. Eleven million animals are destroyed annually for lack of facilities. Yet PETA spent less than $3,955 of its $12 million in fiscal year 1995 and $6,100 of its $10.9 million in fiscal 1996 for shelter programs, according to its nonprofit tax forms filed with the IRS.
In contrast, PETA sent $70,500 in 1995 to Rodney Coronado, a convicted arsonist and avowed member of the domestic-terrorist group called the Animal Liberation Front. Coronado served a five-year federal prison sentence for a 1992 animal-rights-related firebombing at Michigan State University.
Unapologetic about its ties to domestic terrorism, PETA also made a cash donation in 2001 to the North American Earth Liberation Front, a group that the FBI has called a domestic terrorist organization.

"If we really believe that animals have the same right to be free from pain and suffering at our hands, then, of course were going to be blowing things up and smashing windows.
I think its a great way to bring about animal liberation, considering the level of suffering, the atrocities. I think it would be great if all of the fast-food outlets, slaughterhouses, these laboratories, and the banks that fund them exploded tomorrow. I think it's perfectly appropriate for people to take bricks and toss them through the windows. ... Hallelujah to the people who are willing to do it." Bruce Friedrich, PETAs vegan campaign coordinator, at the Animal Rights 2001 conference
"Serving a burger to your family today, knowing what we know, constitutes child abuse. You might as well give them weed killer."
Toni Vernelli, then-coordinator of PETAs European operations
"Six million Jews died in concentration camps, but six billion broiler chickens will die this year in slaughterhouses."
PETA president and co-founder Ingrid Newkirk, in the September 1989 issue of Vogue

I heard some of this on Rush's show today!
(PETA= people eat tasty animals!)

Wasn't Roger Hedgecock talking about this today? It was either he or Medvid, don't remember now.
I'm noting that all the fringe loonatic orgs seem to be bound at the hip to the same finance spiggots. The greens, the animal nazis, the NOW org, the NAACP, the socialist anti-Corporation protesters, the University of the Americas protesters, the pro-death and other groups are all linked, either ideologically, financially or both. That protest in WDC last fall was a real eye-opener. Couldn't believe the tie-ins in that one event.

but six billion broiler chickens will die this year in slaughterhouses.I have a particular fondness for extra crispy.

They're just one more brick in The Wall of leftists working for world socialism. Big surprise.

It was Hedgecock, and yes those PETA and ELF nuts are totally insane. They should be made to share cells with the Al Quaeda terrorists at Gitmo.

While I agree with 75% of what they say, they go about it 180 degrees wrong, leaving me to disagree with 95% of what they do. In the early days they honestly had a chance of being a quality organization. It's too bad they turned themselves into a bunch of overzealous activists harming the cause they claim to defend. Sad.

They should be made to share cells with the Al Quaeda terrorists at Gitmo. The Al Qaeda guys will eat them (or is that your point?)

Class warfare down to the lowest of the sub-proletarian levels. It ain't workers unite against the bourgeois anymore, it is animals unite against man and lead with the dictatorship of the monkeys.
These people use language like sick people to make associations only the mentaly insane can figure. Sadly mental language associations are a killer people embrace at the expense of justice all too often. Just look at Nazi Germany or Communist Soviet Union for starters.

Hedgecock also mentioned that they committed 600 violent crimes, and 43 million dollars worth of property damage since 1996....ELF et al.
Yes. That is terrorism.

What I don't understand is that PETA goes all out to protect animals in their domestic terrorism agenda. And there are laws to protect these animals. Yet, people are attacked and vilified when trying to protect the unborn children from abortion, and there are no real laws to protect these same unborn children. Something is seriously wrong with our culture when an animal's life is prized over a human's life.

You see right there we have a problem. I think Original recipe is the only way to go.

""Six million Jews died in concentration camps, but six billion broiler chickens will die this year in slaughterhouses." PETA president and co-founder Ingrid Newkirk, in the September 1989 issue of Vogue" I wonder how many Jews are aware that PETA equates the value of a Jewish life with the value of a chicken's life?

This Jew is aware of that stupid woman's comment.
On another thread however, if any of you get the chance, peruse the 15-volume transcripts of the Nuremburg trails; in particular read the first volume titled The Doctor Trails.
According to one of the presiding judges, the Nazis valued animals over humans.
The study of these transcripts should be made mandatory for every high school and college in this country.

I heard some of this on Rush's show today! - Wasn't Roger Hedgecock talking about this today?I'm not sure who Roger was talking to, but I believe his organization is called the 'Center for Consumer Freedom'. I'll try to look them up over the weekend. Apparently, they're trying to change PETA's nonprofit status...
