What I find odd is that the "get a life" posters who will make their obligatory appearance here, can spout reams of statistics on some sports figure. Not that there's anything wrong with that; (hey be passionate about
something) but the irony goes wizzing by them like a frieght train.

"Obviously, ignoramuses such as yourself ,do not appreciate the pure greatness of the Green Lantern.I quote "the now -infamous issue 161 which clearly states "He whom believeth in the Lantern ,shall be thrust upon greatness"."
I suggest you mal-contents educate yourself better before responding to a non -issue as to the relevance of the candid splendor of a legendary litarary icon such as the Green Lanteeern.>

Um, someone actually stood in line to meet Marc (not "Mark") Alaimo? I knew him (in high school) when his name was Mike, a real greaser, until he starred in "Our Town" his senior year & went onto moderate success playing bad guys.

The original poster forgot to mention that this is an Onion article from a couple weeks ago.

This does sound like most of my pals over the years at sci fi cons discussing certain TV shows. We're just knowledgeable and passionate about different subjects than most folks (and some of us are interested in "regular" topics as well). But the poster on here is right - if we knew details on sports like the back of our hand, that would be acceptable....

Warning: Most love triangles that involve a comic book character end badly.
Don't ask how I know this.

It's really sad to see someone's life tied up around a DC Comics character.
(tongue thoroughly in cheek!)

At least there actually was a black G.L. at some point.
How about the pricks in Hollywood casting a black Wilson Fisk in the upcoming Daredevil movie? Not to mention Ben frickin' Affleck as hornhead? AAAAAGGGGHHH! At least there's Blade 2 coming soon.

What a lame-o thread.
Even a Marvel Zombie knows that Alan Scott was the coolest GL.
