What happened to Mike Barnacle in Boston?

Although he got booted by the Globe, he now writes a column or two a week for the Daily News in NYC and has an AM talk show in Boston where he can worship all things Kennedy and can say good things about ALL his friends in the Bulger Crime family.

And what about Jeff Jacoby? What did he get in trouble for, anyway? It wasn't plagiarism, I don't think.

He was silenced before the election.

His supposed plagiarism was in writing a column based on an "internet legend" article on the fates of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.

It was just an excuse by the Boston Globe to shut his conservative voice out of the 2000 election.
