LOS ANGELES (AP) -- GOP gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon is prepared to aggressively attack opponent Richard Riordan on taxes, the state budget and his management of Los Angeles as the tight race for the Republican nomination enters its final week, according to unreleased television ads obtained by The Associated Press.

Riordan is a jerk. I can't believe his campaign can say with a straight face that Riordan never raised taxes. He supported NUMEROUS tax increases ... because he supported AND gave money to propositions to increase the sales tax, increased fees all over the place, and has said that he doesn't like Prop. 13 and that Californian's are undertaxed. He would even consider taxing the internet! Doesn't sound like a "fiscal conservative" to me!
Bill Simon is endorsed by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association and the California Tax Limitation Committee, and he has repeatedly said that he won't raise our taxes. I believe him. He's a conservative across the board and someone we can feel good about voting for.
Go Simon!

To: Brad's Gramma

Why shouldn't I vote for Bill Jones? Because this race has come down to riordan vs. Simon and a vote for Jones at this point is a vote for riordan. That should be good enough.
But if you insist, Bill Jones was the author of the largest state tax increase since the demise of the dinosaurs. He orchestrated the over throw of the conservative leadership of the Assembly Republican Caucus in order to ram through Squishy Pete's liberal Republican agenda.
Then remember how he endorsed Bush then unendorsed him and endorsed John Ban-Free-Speech McCain.

No momentum, no money, splits the conservative vote, supported McCain on unconstitutional legislation, voted to raise taxes, didn't do much about vote fraud among illegals as Secretary of State, focus on negative advertising, dirty campaign tricks, poor communicator and a bit hard edged (too angry to appeal to the mass of voters), been in Sacramento too long...

You should not vote for Bill Jones because he can't win. He is way behind in the polls and does not have the backing of the entire state. He only has the backing in his area with bits and pieces throughout the state.

Then read the posts below your original response to me. Thanks. SAVE CALIFORNIA!!!!!

Thanks. Those are reasons.
I'm not trying to be a wiseguy. It's just when Simon admitted to not having voted in the majority of CA races since he's lived here, it just really deflated him to me. It simply stinks of a sense of entitlement, and I learned that lesson with that treasonous clinton creature too.
Maybe I will vote for Simon, if he wins the general election. Though I take my vote evidently a lot more seriously than Simon ever did. And as long as I have a choice, maybe I'll shop it around a little.
Thanks for having the courtesy to honestly respond.

To quote ME, I said I have a FEELING. No source needed, so far, for feelings. YIKES, let's ALL hope it never comes to that cuz I'll be breaking the law right & left. HAHAHA
To: onedoug
Because Simon may beat Riordan but Jones can't beat Riordan. Look at the polls.
