Nothing like giving the perp plenty of warning and time to rent a U-haul and get the heck out of Dodge...

Sounds like the Capitol Police haven't learned from Gary Condit- 'Attention Mr. Anthrax prime suspect, please know that we are on way, so you can clean your apartment.'

The WashPost gang will look bad (again) if the WashTimes breaks the story.

"We can draw a likely portrait of the perpetrator as a former Fort Detrick scientist who is now working for a contractor in the Washington, D.C., area," Rosenberg said. "He had reason for travel to Florida, New Jersey and the United Kingdom. . . . There is also the likelihood the perpetrator made the anthrax himself. He grew it, probably on a solid medium and weaponized it at a private location where he had accumulated the equipment and the material.Expert: Anthrax Suspect I.D.'d

What is the point of a tease? Either he reports the entire article or be silent. Teasing readers seems rather small. Like a 5 year old squealing- I know a secret, I know a secret.
Has Drudge ever independently developed a story? I know that he has broken other people's work, but has he ever done anything on his own? I can't recall any, can you?

'Attention Mr. Anthrax prime suspect, please know that we are on way, so you can clean your apartment.' Let us hope they've got him under 24/7 surveillance.

Police Closing In...I hate that cliche! Will they "head him off at the pass" too?

For months I've been betting on the theory that it was a government scientist who was hoping for a government contract, with some connection to clinton. Clinton was pushing the anthrax-scare business hard during his last couple of years in office. Probably if gore had been elected, this fellow would have gotten the contract without having to scare a couple of prominent Democrats into supporting it. There could be a Bioport connection.
Maybe we'll see tomorrow. Maybe it's just another false alarm. But that's my best guess.

I wonder if this is mis-direction designed to get more evidence. IE: phone taps etc.

No kidding! John Wilkes Booth made it out of the city when they were looking for him.

After this Drudge Report he will be 'making a run for the border.'

I believe at the time that JWB "escaped' there were soldiers on all the roads and bridges entering DC. I do belive however, that the word had not been circulated to all checkpoints yet.
