I'm probably one of the few. I've never watched West Wing. I loathe Martin Sheen and his offspring.

I watched a half hour once, but I also loathe Martin Sheen. To me the show seems patterned after Klintoon, but it's supposed to be Carter. Why they would make a movie about one or the other failed presidencies starring a total communist like Sheen is beyond me.

Here's the e-mail I sent to NBC, not that anyone will read it.

Subject: Sorkin's mouth

Tell him to keep it shut: these self-aggrandizing Hollywood clowns who think their "celebrity" gives them permission to pontificate on any issue under the sun never cease to amaze me. Then there is the wonderful media, providing print space and air time so that we can be told that The Left Wing producer questions President Bush's leadership: Stop the press!! zzzzzzzzzzzz Gore lost...get over it. Oh, I forgot -- you live, work, and breathe in a make-believe world; guess you don't need to get over it...just go on pretending that you and your opinions matter. The rest of us Americans promise to play along.

What a crock of bs! Gore undoubtedly has native intelligence, but he doesn't have walking around, gumchewing shoe tieing common sense or analytical sense. This statement is so disingenuous it is a daydream of Sorkins. Gore did not hold back--he played roles-he does NOT know who he is! At least GWB knows who he is. The reason Bush won the debates was that he came across as REAL.

Bush has a great deal of intelligence--dummies can't fly jets or get MBA's from Harvard. Incidentally, he made better grades than Gore!Gore dropped out of school twice, I believe. Did he ever finish a degree, and if so where? Anybody.

Sorkins attitude is why I cannot watch West Wing--Martin Sheen and probably the entire crew have the same sneering, anti-conservative attitude.

Fellow Freepers, WHY do people these idiots are sneering at watch their freaking show? People like us, as well as liberals, are contributing to its success. Could we stop it and help their ratings go down the tube?

I just love how they call it a "fact-based" fictional show. That's a smart move on their part. They use it as a political forum to bash conservatives, then they indignantly say, "Lighten up, it's only fiction," when people complain about the content. It's a real convenient way for them to have it both ways. Makes me sick.
