My sister's boyfriend bought tickets today for the closing ceremonies, which was a total surprise to her. She's been a volunteer for the Olympics (she speaks fluent Italian, and has worked at the Information Desk, telling people where the bathrooms are...) She also is a volunteer for the Paralympics, her assignment there is to be the "bouncer" in the VIP suite, where all the important people gather. She just has to make sure that everyone there has the right credentials, etc. And she has been told that VP Dick Cheney is coming to open the Paralympics, and that her suite is the one that the VIPS stay in while waiting for events...
