Vanity Post but way cool. The California Delta record Large Mouth bass was caught 02/20/02 by my neighbor 20 feet off my dock on a sinko black worm. 18.2 LBS I'll post the picture as soon as my neighbor posts it to my e-mail. The picture also graces the cover of the Bass Sportsman magazine

It's all a question of using the right bait, at the right time!-)

OK ... here's the straight skinny. The fish was caught 02/10/02 not 02/20/02. It was on the cover of Fishsniffers on 02/20/02 and is in the western outdoors news magazine. The black worm used was a "senko". It was NOT caught in the "slot" but in Turtle Bay in Discovery Bay and it was caught 20-30 feet off my dock. 18.2 LBS

Beats any bass I've ever caught. If I'm not mistaken the record in South Carolina is 22.1 lbs. I saw a photo of that one and it was massive.

Galen Jensen Smashes Delta Largemouth Record with 18.62 Pound Fish! By: Dan Bacher February 15, 2002 More Articles by Dan Catching a truly monster largemouth bass, a fish over 15 pounds, is a dream that every bass fishing enthusiast has. Many experienced tournament anglers, after years of fishing, will never catch a fish even close to this size. However, Galen Jensen of Brentwood, a dedicated tournament angler, fulfilled his dream when he bagged an 18.62 pound largemouth bass in the Delta on Sunday, February 10. After he caught the fish, he weighed it at Hook Line and Sinker in Oakley on a certified scale.
