I come home, put 3 leftover pieces of Papa John's in the oven, the perfect snack to go with the game. Still had an extra garlic sauce(ALWAYS get an extra garlic sauce, one doesn't even provide enough dipping for crust from half a pizza), but since it had been sitting in the fridge, I decide to put it too, in the oven for 30 seconds(no microwave here). Get online, get distracted, next thing ya know I hear sizzling. Crap! Garlic container had melted, they'll be no garlic sauce for the crust tonight. Arrggghhhh, FR sometimes exacts a high price.
Then again, no worry about garlic breath later tonight.
Well, I figured that NBC would run excerpts threaded throughout their coverage, so the suspense element would still be there. Turns out they ran the whole thing which isn't surprising considering the marquee value of this event.
I love these live threads, though. I just wait until the events begin and wade cautiously into what is by then an hours-old thread and read the comments as the event unfolds. What drives me nuts is the outcome posted front and center as the title of the thread.
I still want to be able to FReep in the hours before and during the event without having the surprise spoiled. The people in the Eastern time zone have that luxury, I think those of us out West ought to have same.
