This is somewhat repetitive and whiney, however its a good example of the general perception that Border Patrol Agents have of the INS.

I just showed this at lunch to a INS fellow.
He said "What crap!" "Is this from one of those anonymous vigilante hate groups?" "Not even the stupidest, or the brightest, INS wonk could make so many mistakes as this drivel."
Good lunch.

Hopefully somebody will finger the Elian raiders after they get a job elsewhere.

I've worked in the Inspections Branch for 4 1/2 years, and a lot of what this letter says is true, at least for Inspections.

Management in the Inspections Branch is full of Immigrant Rights Activists. If we try to enforce the INA and do our jobs, management comes down hard.

I personally think Zigler is the best thing to happen to INS in a long time. Once this reorganization takes hold, I think a lot of the management problems will dissolve and the enforcement branch will be let lose to do its job. IMHO.

The INS is so corrupt and dysfunctional it should be abolished.

Bump

This isn't a garden party down here on the frontier. Contrary to our government's insistence, the U.S./Mexican border is a hostile environment rife with corruption, violence, anger, poverty, aggression, and danger

Interesting article. I think many people don't know how dangerous it's getting for the border patrol agents. Some of those drug importers are becoming desperate to bring in their shipments. I'd hate to be a border patrol agent at one of those more remote locations.

America needs a major ouster of liberals at all levels of government. The liberal/socialists infestation of our governmsnt and our institutions is rapidly destroying our country.

When we arrest illegal aliens now, many of them question our "right" to do so...Imagine that, Mexican and other nationals questioning whether or not we have the right to arrest them for breaking the laws of this country.

Bump.
