Please Sign An International Petition AGAINST P.E.T.A.

I realize that there are a vast number of differing opinions on pets here on FR, but I think our repugnance for PETA is virtually universally felt.
I also know that this is not our highest priority, but control of our pets and our very lives through the actions of these supposedly animal protectionist/terrorists is a real threat to other freedoms.
Help stop the denial of our rights and the unbalance of the left through signing this petition and spreading the word.
A small step against the anarchy of sending the world back to the dark ages in the man/beast relationships may start with this small effort of a man who does rescue work for a particular breed of pure bred dogs.

Thanks for link, these people are whack jobs and need to be stopped.

Thanks! -- we poor animal folk -- don't ALWAYS seem to be able to see out of our tunnel vision provided by our self-donned, ever so insular shells to even see the "real roses" let alone to smell them.
But we can give them a clue by helping here, that's for sure!

May our small stones dropped into the pond turn into a whirlpool (or a tidal wave) of a wake up call!

I talked it over with all four of my cats before signing. They indicated it was ok to consort with dog-people in this good cause.....

Does this petition have anything to do with the petition writer's uncle being a tiger trainer in a circus?

I haven't the slightest -- but don't get too alarmed at wild animals in captivity in the main anyway -- so to each his own.
Thanks for bumping this anyway!
PS -- he sent this through the dog lists -- but PETA wants all domesticated animals returned to some natural freedom -- to include otterpond's four cats and all of the rest -- all of the way to dairy cows.
If I thought that all of the money that supported PETA dealt with any glimpse of an agenda that was vetted as any example of true ethics at all, I would never have posted this request.
P.E.T.A. and E.L.F. are the epitome of everything against which FR fights ... the rights of freedom.
We ONLY hear the "news" about the mistreatment of (or ugly events performed by improperly bred or raised animals) there are many, many more who are in all kinds of captivity and COMMON SENSE and kindnesses of humans' surpass any possibly "Free" life in any "natural state" for those animals ... all gifts of our Creator.

Thanks to you Mag!
... and a he-he-he to you, bruin -- HEY! a bruin is a BEAR -- how dare you appropriate a name for an animal?
Pretty soon those animals will object to having their "ethnicity" used as team names, doncha' think?

The Alberta Beef Industry had an ad campaign a couple of years ago that was a direct response to a PETA billboard campaign. The ABI's slogan was a classic:
"Save a cow -- eat a vegetarian."

I haven't the slightest...
Read the petition. It appears the petition writer has a particular bone to pick (so to speak).

Being "in" the dog world, as I am (even though it appears from his particular field in the canine world, which is for "disqualifiable from competition in the conformation ring", white German Shepherds) -- his bone to pick might and probably does have a great deal to do with the fact that we (the folks who show dogs in breed or utilitarian competitions) have been subjected to factual releases of dogs from their owners' set ups at the shows in the "cause of freedom". P.E.T.A. has been proud to accept the responsibility for this theft of personal property.
This cautionary announcement has been made to the entire show, via the sound systems, since before the rise of P.E.T.A. as a newsmaker, because some of their earliest mischief was letting all of the dogs go "free".
So, my point was ... not disrespect toward your opinion of some ulterior motive from his past ... but the fact that, in the main, I don't care ... every human has a duty to see to the care of animals in their care for whatever purpose, but they also have the freedom to pursue animal interests, whether for entertainment or useful function in their own way with proper facility and kindness toward them.
P.E.T.A. insists that all "keepers" are evil -- not so!!!
I would have preferred a more professionally written "petition", but he has broken the ground, in any case!
Meat and milk and the use of animals for human research, has a great place, contrary to what these deranged P.E.T.A. anarchists intend to promote. Pet animals serve a very wonderful function ... whether to stroke our egos, or to fill a portion of our lives.
