I don't believe the Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia had anything to do with slavery; but there is no doubt it had to do with the separation of this country--you know the one we recite as "ONE nation under God, INDIVISIBLE with liberty and justice for all" when we say the pledge of allegiance.
