You have free will. Everyone and Everything does.
What you don't have is a choice in what circumstances confront you!
But you are free to make whatever decision about those circumstances your little heart desires.

I take it you do not believe in causality--cause and effect?
Or is causality only occasionally regnant?

Excellent. Good work, my friend. It must have been on your heart to submit work such as this to all of us. Again, good work, and thanks.

Do you care to either refute the article, or are you content with offering mindless, baseless, unsubstantiated drivel?
Which is it?

I'm with ccmay; any God who creates billions of sentient beings and deliberately condemns all except those he "saves" to eternal suffering is unspeakably evil.
And if you believe as you have stated, you have demonstrated empirically your lack of understanding of the Word of God.

I think it is we who exercise our choice that drive the splint between the Lord and ourselves.
You may freely think this, but this reasoning is not backed by the Bible. If it is, share with us the book, chapter, and verse(s), please.

It is not necessary to deny "free-will" in order to believe in Biblical predestination. It is only when one thinks that man has a greater "free-will" than that possessed by God that one gets in trouble.
All men are free to do exactly as they want, just as God is free to do exactly what He wants.
Many non-predestinarians insist that "free-will" means that you will do that which you don't want to do, but we know better.

...even puts people into governmental power!I suppose this means that going to the voting booth in a snowstorm is unwise.

St. John 3:16 is absolutely true. But, then, how do you square this if you go backwards to the first chapter of St. John:
10He [Jesus] was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
So, square this, please.

"...any God who creates billions of sentient beings and deliberately condemns all except those he "saves" to eternal suffering is unspeakably evil." Hmmm, could it also be said: "Any God who creates billions of sentient beings, and sends His Son to die for all the sins of all of them, and then doesn't bother to tell millions of them that He has done so, and thus allows them to go to hell, is unspeakably evil"?? (That is, unless you are a Universalist.)
No, God saves according to His desire, and in order to accomplish His good will. It is a miracle that He saves any, seeing as all deserve death and hell.

Would it be accurate to say that you do not believe that Jesus is the Savior of all men?
If He were, then all men would be saved. But that's not going to happen, is it?

Uhhh, proofread, please. This is what you said in #47: "Where is the poster wrong?"
To: asformeandformyhouse
your God is a failture, but mine is an exalted King. You believe he is cruel in YOUR view....not in His view recorded in Scripture. Was it cruel when God flooded the world? It was just.
To: Senator Pardek
Quiet - I don't wanna know...You're right. I am beginning to see why
theology should only be practiced by
professionals. Can you imagine what
it must have been like before the various
Councils (Nicea, Trent, etc) neutered it?

...God is more holy than even one little cell of my body.I'm sure God is thrilled by that ringing endorsement.
