Forgot to add. I wonder if the "anchor" mentioned in the article is Brit Hume?

And I think we should be praying daily for these Christian media folks - among the Leftist Liberal=Socialist media, they must be lonely on a day-to-day basis.

Prayers going up for them, as I type.

There are several evangical Episcopalian churches in the DC area. Some of even charismatic, or at least used to be. I also wasn't surprised to see Mort Kondracke here. I've read what a liberal he is on this forum, and a number of times I don't agree with him. But he seems to me to be a very compassionate man with an ethical core. I know that caring for a sick wife has something to do with that as well. This is SO encouraging. I am delighted to hear how God is working in such unexpected ways!

There are other signs of growing religious faith among journalists besides the success of the Thomas dinner. Two years ago, two journalists called practically anyone they knew in the media who'd ever said a kind word about religion and asked if they'd like to join a monthly Bible study. Ten did, including me, Morton Kondracke of Roll Call, a TV anchor, a magazine publisher and two network news correspondents. When word of the study group spread, several more asked to join. Now the group meets every other week.

Wow! Great news, Miss Marple. Thank you.

Very true. And add to your prayer list 60 college students from Asbury College in Kentucky that will be working as communications interns in Salt Lake City. Asbury has for a number of years been training young Christians to work in the media industry. They trained about 300 to go to Atlanta, but were limited in the number they could send to Salt Lake City.

These kids will be interacting with journalists from all over the world.

Agreed. I think the family situation Mort has been dealing with has drawn him to re-examine his spiritual life.

Incredible, the Holy Spirit changing the hearts of men and women is truly a miracle; it gets more and more exciting with each person.

God is so good!

Thank you, Miss Marple, for this very encouraging article!

What a mission field these two journalists find themselves in, but they are not deterred because they know it depends upon God, not upon them. Very inspiring and, for me, a little bit convicting. thank you
