The ridiculous thing is that, of course, the two words are one and the same -- just took on slightly different forms in different languages, but both mean simply "black". I'm surprised the PC crowd hasn't mounted a campaign to get Nigeria to change its name.

You work with Santa Claus?????

Good point. Just a couple of weeks ago a plaque for James Earl Jones was inscribed to James Earl Ray, and *that* was all over the news.
This is an equally offensive "mistake." Wonder who, besides Fox, will pick it up.

Well, if he had a red suit... and reindeer... and a house at the north pole... and elves... then he would be Santa Claus...

Someone should lose their job over this! Mistake, my foot!

I don't have any idea what the ethnic lineage of the perpetrator was, but I agree with the rest of you post.
There are so many checks and balances in the television industry, something like this doesn't occur by accident.
Can you imagine the repurcussions of a bi-line that introduced Fat Albert as Al Charleton?
The posterior kissing would be wet and constant. There would be at least one token employee fired immediately and a cash settlement.
But then Sharpton is a liberal media darling.

Your comments reminded me of a poster that was done by Baltimore for one of its City Fairs. The cartoon poster was chock-a-block with images of booths, rides, neighborhood booths, etc. In the middle ground was a carousel. If you examined it REAL close, one of the "riders" on the carousel was NOT riding a wooden animal. He was riding a WOMAN.
The poster was recalled -- though copies of the original poster are to this day collectors' items -- and the Vice President of the ad agency that created the poster resigned and apologized.
And, don't get me started on the cover for a brochure produced by the shop where I worked, that when viewed from 20 feet away, said "F*CK." We caught that before it went out, ripped all the covers off, redesigned them, reprinted them, and sent them out to the client.

He is. I had no idea he was there for the big Geraldo fight. I'm REALLY impressed. I like him and I like the way he laughs stuff off!
